Global end-to-end supply chain solutions company BR International (BRi) has secured a 22,660sqm distribution centre in Erskine Park to support its national expansion.
BRi has finalised a 10-year commitment for the state-of-the art distribution centre at 72 Grady Crescent, Erskine Park. The transaction will allow the company to overcome space limitations and operational constraints while ensuring sustained growth and efficiency.
Todd Grima from CBRE’s Advisory & Transaction Services - Occupier business managed the process deal on behalf of BRi.
Mr Grima said CBRE had worked closely with BRi to gain a deep understanding of its requirements and aspirations before engaging with suitable landlords and developers through a Request for Information process.
Multiple sites were evaluated ahead of a competitive deal being inked with the private owners.
“Despite a market environment with 20% year-on-year rental growth, BRi has successfully secured an super prime asset that is five times larger than its previous facility,” Mr Grima said.
“This will enable BRi to accommodate the rapid growth of its customers and serve as an operationally robust solution for its operations going forward.”
Tom Rourke from CBRE’s investor team worked alongside both parties to help facilitate the transaction.
BRi Director Michael Bourne added, “Despite the challenges of managing customer demand throughout a disruptive construction phase, we have worked closely with CBRE and owners Fitzpatrick to realise our goal of being operational before the end of this financial year.”
“The quality of our new facility is best in class and will enable us to set new standards in service delivery for our loyal customers.”
The Erskine Park Distribution Centre is set to be completed and operational from 1 June 2023.
