O’Herns Logistics Park will deliver sustainable and future-focused premium logistics facilities in Melbourne’s booming northern industrial corridor
Diversified property group SRL has officially commenced construction at O’Herns Logistics Park, its 140ha sustainability led logistics project in Epping.
Vic Civil Solutions has commenced works on the extension of O’Herns Road, a crucial access point for improving connectivity to major arterials, including the new O’Herns diamond interchange, the Hume Freeway, and the future Outer Metropolitan Ring Road.
Marking an important foundation step in the development, the upgrade to O’Herns Road will ensure the logistics park maintains superior access to both Melbourne and Sydney, delivering long-term value to future occupiers through its premium connectivity to an expanding transport and infrastructure network.
Upon completion, O’Herns Logistics Park will deliver sustainable and future-focused premium logistics facilities in Melbourne’s booming northern industrial corridor – floorplates in stage 1 range from 5,000sqm – 30,000sqm, and benefit from gas access, 24-7 operations and sustainability elements including solar power, a 5-Star Green Star design, rainwater harvesting, LED lighting and a central 127ha nature reserve which will provide access to open green parkland for workers at O’Herns.
Estimated to support up to 4,000 employment opportunities, O’Herns Logistics Park supports SRL’s brand vision of creating future-focused assets that environmentally, economically, and socially enrich local communities, facilitating ongoing value and opportunities for growth areas.
The SRL team is looking forward delivering the first stage of its innovative logistics park, says Managing Director & CEO Vivek Subramanian.
