Vaughan Constructions has commenced construction on a new, purpose-built, state of the art manufacturing facility, for Perfection Private and its client Melbourne based food manufacturer, Nuttelex Food Products. 

Located at Perfection Private’s 22-hectare Rangebank Business Park in Cranbourne West, the Concept Y designed project will comprise a 14,720 square metre building, including 13,075 square metres of manufacturing and warehouse area, and nearly 7,000 square metres of hardstand, on a 26,100 square metre site, with an approximate end value of $50 million.  

According to Vaughan Constructions’ Senior Development Manager, Chris Telley, Perfection Private engaged Vaughan to work closely with their tenant Nuttelex to design and construct the new facility.

``Vaughan has worked very closely with the Nuttelex project team to understand and identify their operational and project requirements in order to provide Nuttelex with a project outcome designed to serve both its current operational requirements and its anticipated long-term growth. 

``Nuttelex is a very successful specialist operation that requires creative and innovative solutions. Through our open and collaborative approach, we are confident, together with all stakeholders, that we have identified the best possible project outcomes,’’ Mr Telley said. 

Perfection Private General Manager, Steven Murphy, who is working with Consultant Direct Property Connect on the project, said he was pleased to announce a project that would take advantage of the exceptional amenities and connectivity, and the premier location for distribution operations, manufacturing, or corporate headquarters that Rangebank Business Park offered.

``This is a fantastic project that promises to deliver a first-rate facility in accord with the standards that we have created here at Rangebank Business Park.

Mr Telley said both Perfection Private and Nuttelex’ s commitment to sustainability had been a key design focus including a 99kw solar PV system, energy efficient sensor lighting, solar hot water, rainwater harvesting and re-use, native plants and drip irrigation, and low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) paints, carpets and sealants. 

He said the commitment went well beyond what was required for new builds but would meet the standard that most institutional companies currently preferred as they looked to promote a socially responsible corporate image.

This commitment also ties in with Nuttelex’s values, as a family-owned Australian business established in Melbourne in 1932. With a rich history in Australian Food Manufacturing, the Nuttelex brand is a household name in Australia and is marketed as being the healthy alternative.

Mr Telley said the new facility was due for completion around March 2024.
