State MP for Theodore Mark Boothman officially launched works on the Helensvale Business Park.
Preliminary site works have started on a $100 million strata titled business park at Helensvale on the northern Gold Coast, a landmark new industrial hub for the city which is to be built across almost 50,000 square metres next to the Westfield Helensvale town centre.
State MP for Theodore Mark Boothman officially launched works on the Helensvale Business Park, with more than 50 per cent of stratas in the first stage already sold or under offer.
Developer, owner and asset manager Sandhurst Retail & Logistics has appointed Keane Group Construction as the builder for Stage One, which will include 21 industrial units across a 12,142 square metre site.
On completion of the entire precinct, Helensvale Business Park will comprise 79 units over 47,450sqm.
Helensvale Business Park is part of Sandhurst Retail & Logistics’ $1.7 billion portfolio, which also features major retail and industrial projects in Brisbane and Melbourne.
Sandhurst Development Director Jim Athanas says the business park is the region's first industrial strata development of this size, providing unmatched local amenities and accessibility.
“Helensvale Business Park will set a new standard for industrial projects in the area, offering businesses unparalleled convenience and modern facilities," Mr Athanas said.
"We’re thrilled to bring such a groundbreaking project to the Gold Coast-Brisbane corridor, a major asset which will cater to the growing demand for high-quality industrial business premises here. "There is significant & growing demand for all industrial sizes on the Gold Coast, but the size ranges offered in this development will address the largest gap in supply.
"The strong pre-commitment, with more than half of the stratas in Stage One already bought or under offer even before construction has started, underscores the market’s confidence in this project.”
Stage One of Helensvale Business Park will feature 21 units, with sizes ranging from 253 square meters to 492 square meters, priced between $1.2 million and $2.3 million. The entire project will be completed in four stages over an estimated four-year period.
Keane Group Construction Director John Keane said it was hugely exciting to be involved in such a landmark development.
"We’re proud and gratified to be the builders on this project. The incredible facilities and highly strategic location adjoining the M1, directly opposite Westfield Helensvale and serviced by both heavy and light rail, make Helensvale Business Park a standout destination for industrial enterprises,” Mr Keane said.
“Our team is committed to delivering the highest quality construction that meets the unique needs of each business in the precinct.
"This park is set to become a key industrial hub in the region and we will be working closely with the Sandhurst Retail & Logistics team to ensure this project sets a new benchmark for business parks on the Gold Coast.”
Sandhurst Retail & Logistics has joined with capital partner Metrics and project management partner Case Meallin on the project, with Colliers and Coastal appointed as joint marketing agents.
The project is located at 2 Millaroo Drive, Helensvale. For more information visit the Helensvale Business Park website.
