The Sunshine Coast’s Aura Business Park at 7-13 Carnegie Street leased to Sydney Tools negotiated off-plan by Sam Hoy, Michael Shadforth and David Goldsworthy from RWC Northern Corridor Group.
The Sunshine Coast’s Aura Business Park will soon be welcoming another national tenant, with Sydney Tools securing a site for their second Sunshine Coast store.
The lease of the 2,200sqm tenancy at 7-13 Carnegie Street was negotiated off-plan by Sam Hoy, Michael Shadforth and David Goldsworthy from RWC Northern Corridor Group.
Sydney Tools development manager Alex Newby is optimistic about the prospects of the region.
“Sydney Tools is pleased to bring its second store to the Sunshine Coast,” Mr Newby said.
“Our new Baringa store within Aura Business Park was a logical location to service the trade activity behind one of Australia’s fastest growing communities, as well as the established market of Caloundra.
“We look forward to the new Baringa store building on the success of Kunda Park Sydney Tools.”
Sydney Tools will be joining other marquee businesses like Samios Plumbing, Mitre10, Carpet Court, Bridgestone and Ultra Tune who have all been early responders to a seismic shift in population for the southern Sunshine Coast.
RWC Northern Corridor Group director and Caloundra Chamber of Commerce president Michael Shadforth has seen a noticeable shift in appetite towards the region.
“The economic landscape of the Sunshine Coast today is undeniable and has it squarely on the radar of national developers and businesses alike,” Mr Shadforth said.
“We are now seeing the community surpass the demographic catchment triggers of more and more national retailers and trade service businesses.
“The Aura Business Park has reached a critical mass where the businesses are starting to feed off the activity of each other.
“We have seen this pattern play out time and again across the Northern Corridor in the past, with business parks like Warana and Kunda Park as well as North Lakes and Corporate Park further south.”
Since the first stage of the business park was delivered in 2018, more than 100 tenancies have been completed. With an estimated population catchment of more than 50,000 people once fully developed, it is likely Sydney Tools will not be the last to plant their corporate flag in Aura Business Park.
