Western Australia's largest industrial auction for 2019 will be held next month when a 212-hectare parcel of land goes under the hammer on the doorstep of the outer north’s infrastructure program.
Developers and owner-occupiers will vie for a future agri-industrial hub near the soon to be completed $1.2 billion Northlink WA project next month as a 212-hectare parcel of land goes under the hammer.
Opposite the WA Meat Industry Authority’s Muchea Livestock Centre, the undeveloped site on the Great Northern Highway accounts for almost a fifth of the entire Muchea Employment Node.
The property, which enjoys more than 300 metres of frontage to the Great Northern Highway, is set to benefit from the Northlink WA project, with the extension of the Tonkin Highway to enhance connections in the industrial corridor between the airport and the state’s north and north-west distribution routes.
LJ Hooker Commercial Perth Principal Vincent Siciliano, who is managing the auction campaign for the site, said the market hadn't seen an offering of this scale for some time.
“The auction format enables developers and owner-occupants to determine the market value of the development site,” he said.
“Under the planning guidelines, the site is capable of being developed for service-based uses such as transport, livestock, fabrication and warehousing.
“Situated near the nexus of one of the state’s biggest road infrastructure projects, we anticipate interest from WA, interstate and international developers and owner-occupants who have been starved of opportunities to deliver well-positioned transport and logistics assets.”
According to WA Government projections, the Muchea Employment Hub will house a workforce of approximately 1000 staff by 2030.
The auction will be held at the Claremont Football Club on December 11.
