A 2.2-hectare site at 59-61 Qantas Drive, Brisbane Airport has been leased in an off-market deal Brendan Delahunty and Nick Bandiera JLL.
More than two hectares of space at Brisbane Airport has been leased through JLL.
The deal for 59-61 Qantas Drive is over a five-year term with the rental just over $1,280,000pa net plus GST for the site, which includes a 7,079 square metre distribution centre, plus dedicated hardstand and car parking areas.
At a glance:
Leasing agent Brendan Delahunty of JLL, who negotiated the deal with Nick Bandeira, said the agency conducted an extensive market search "over months" to find a site suited to the needs of the incoming tenant.
“JLL identified a suitable building for the tenant that was not actively being marketed for lease," he said.
"This meant we had to negotiate with the sitting tenant to surrender their lease a year earlier than planned, and also negotiate with the Airport to agree to the surrender, while arranging new commercial terms for the incoming tenant, plus agreeing to additional development works required to meet the tenants’ need."
Located with direct connectivity to the airport’s transport infrastructure, Qantas Drive has ample onsite amenities for staff, including shops and facilities at the DFO.
The airport has undergone massive improvements in recent years to their road networks, which connect directly to the Gateway Motorway, Airport Link Tunnel, Kingsford Smith Drive and Nudgee Road.
The secured gated site features four crossovers for excellent heavy vehicle access and maneuverability, plenty of container set down areas, approximately 130 car parks, outdoor staff break out areas and an improved modern concrete panel warehouse inclusive of associated office area.
