One of the nation’s largest safety and training education providers, Pinnacle Safety and Training, has committed to expanding its head office operations in Murarrie’s Metroplex, one of Brisbane’s highly sought-after master-planned corporate office parks and industrial communities.
The newly leased 4,000 sqm property at 13 Smallwood Place is set to house a mix of corporate office, training rooms, warehouse space and more than 100 underground car parks.
The project, currently under construction, by a private developer, is expected to be completed by December 2023.
Pinnacle Safety and Training Chief Executive Officer Ben Allen said the facility ticked several boxes, including its size and proximity to its existing locations within the Metroplex.
“After scouting various other locations across Brisbane for a suitable mixed-use office space, the Metroplex, a decade on, continues to be a great fit for Pinnacle and its students,” Mr Allen said.
“The Metroplex’s proximity to the city, airport and major transport corridors makes it an attractive investment, nestled conveniently under Brisbane’s iconic Gateway bridges.
“The new state-of-the-art training facility will allow Pinnacle Safety and Training to provide more critical safety and training services to the ever-growing South East Queensland market, especially with Brisbane’s exponential growth forecast for the next 10 years in the lead-up to the Olympics.”
The property was marketed for lease by CG Property Group Director Michael Callow and Jonathon Burrows.
Mr Callow said there had been significant interest in sites providing a unique blend of office and warehouse with car parking in what is now considered “fringe” locations such as the Metroplex in Murarrie.
Mr Burrows added the location and blend of office/warehouse suited Pinnacle Sa, who had considered a number of sites before committing to Smallwood Place.”
The exact financials of the transaction were confidential. However industry sources suggest $1,200,000-$1,300,000 per annum.
