Salta has welcomed Trunk Logistics Group to its Nexus Dandenong South industrial estate, in a partnership that will see Trunk relocate its headquarters to a new and custom built 16,000sqm state-of-the-art warehouse facility.
Prominent Victorian property group Salta has welcomed leading warehousing and logistics organisation Trunk Logistics Group to its Nexus Dandenong South industrial estate, in a partnership that will see Trunk relocate its headquarters to a new and custom built 16,000sqm state-of-the-art warehouse facility.
Joining an array of major users offreightinfrastructure located at Nexus Dandenong South, Trunk’s new headquarters comprises 15,200sqm of warehouse space and 725sqm of office space, accommodating 14,300 pallet spaces and 128 car spaces for the Group’s nearly 100 staff.
Atthe core of the design is the site’s focus on sustainability, with a suite of environmentally friendly features including electric charging outlets, sustainably sourced and produced safety barriers, as well as extensive range of solar panels.
Salta’s Commercial and Industrial Development Director Owen Smith says Salta prides itself on partnering with leading and growing organisations such as Trunk Logistics Group who are equally committed to delivering innovative solutions.
“Originally committed to as a speculative build, we worked closely with Trunk to deliver a highly tailored, state-of-the-art logistics facility that caters for the business’ future expansion. It’s partnerships such as this, that create a progressive and thriving precinct and we’re excited to have Trunk Logistics Group as a key partner within our Nexus Dandenong South precinct,” said Mr Smith.
Trunk Logistics Group’s Managing Director Mark Mastroianni credits the close partnership with Salta for being able to deliver on the organisation’s unique requirements for a state-of-the-art logistics facility.

Trunk Logistics Group is in good company, operating worldwide, alongside some of the nation’s major industrial tenants who call Nexus Dandenong South home - such as Woolworths, Bunnings, Walkinshaw and Schneider Electric.
Strategically acquired between 2006-2012 as part of Salta’s long-term vision to service the growing warehousing and logistics demand in Melbourne’s southeast, the Nexus Dandenong South estate is uniquely fully owned, managed and operated by Salta to service Victoria with a high-quality industrial estate, well-positioned in proximity to major transport arterials.

The official opening of Trunk Logistics Group’s new headquarters was marked with a ribbon cutting celebration at the 143 Portlink Drive facility on Friday 19 July, which was attended by over 150 people, including Greater Dandenong Business Development and Investment Manager, Kevin van Boxtel, executives from Salta and Trunk Logistics Group.
