A 16,166sqm super-prime grade warehouse, located at 15-29 Macedon Way Melbourne leased to CDB Group negotiated by CBRE’s Daniel Eramo and Joe Brzezek.
CDB Group has leased a 16,166sqm super-prime grade warehouse as part of a speculative development within Melbourne Airport’s first-class business park.
CDB Group is one of Australia and New Zealand's largest importer, distributor and marketer of electrical accessories, kitchen appliances, lighting, cooling and heating.
The lease was brokered by CBRE’s Daniel Eramo and Joe Brzezek.
The warehouse, located at 15-29 Macedon Way, will be CDB’s first national distribution centre in Australia and marks a significant expansion for the company into one of Melbourne's most sought-after logistics locations.
Managing Director of CDB Group, Mark Rice, said “We are excited to move into our new headquarters at Melbourne Airport Business Park, marking a significant milestone as we celebrate 11 years in Australia. This move supports our continued growth and ensures we’re well-positioned to meet the increasing demand for our products across all categories. The new, modern space will help us collaborate more effectively as a team, all under one roof. We thank the team at Melbourne Airport for making this great facility a reality.”
CBRE Senior Director, Mr Eramo said, “This leasing transaction further reinforces the strategic location of Melbourne Airport Business Park, offering unrivaled access to air freight services and major road networks. CDB’s new facility will further enhance its supply chain efficiency and cater to the growing demands of its customers.
“Melbourne Airport has now successfully leased 25,632sqm of the new speculative development project well prior to practical completion, with only one 6,675sqm tenancy remaining” Mr Eramo added.
The warehouse is designed to meet the high-functioning requirements of CDB’s modern businesses. With an impressive 14.6m internal clearance and multiple loading formats, the facility is equipped to support efficient operations and a high volume of goods handling.
Owned by Australia Pacific Airports Melbourne (APAM) the speculative development is part of Melbourne Airport Business Park which consists of approximately 565ha of Special Activity Centre zoned land consisting of industrial and commercial development.
APAM’s Head of Property Development and Asset Management, Stuart Verrier, said “Although the Melbourne Airport Business Park is the largest of its kind in the country and superbly located, not only to the airport, but also Melbourne’s arterial road network, the fact is we are running out of land. What this means is we are becoming more and more selective as to our remaining land uses and who we partner with.
“Through CBRE's brokerage, we are delighted to have formalised an agreement with CDB paving the way for them to become Melbourne Airport's latest first-class tenant in what will be a brand new premium product. We look forward to finalising delivery, which is already well underway, and soon welcoming CDB to their new home."
It’s anticipated CDB will move into the warehouse in August 2025.
