Large national tile wholesaler GNS Ceramics will call 472 Newman Road in Geebung in Brisbane’s northern industrial hub home following an off-market, turn-key sale negotiated by JLL’s Ben Jeffries and Gibson Leembruggen.

“GNS Ceramics is a large, national owner-occupier and were currently leasing a smaller premises in the local Brisbane market, however, were keen to acquire a new facility to expand their Brisbane operations,” said JLL Industrial Senior Executive Ben Jeffries.

“The company predominantly owner-occupy almost all of their facilities nationally, so we were able to pair a suitable site, with a developer with the capacity to build a brand new 3,775sqm facility for them, and it became a turn-key solution,” he said.

“The developer, Felton Property Group acquired a 7,552sqm site which was intended for a strata unit development, however with our introduction, we were able to work with the occupier to deliver the new 3,774sqm facility for $12,200,000.”

Gibson Leembruggen, JLL Associate Director, Industrial – QLD, said JLL’s strong understanding of the occupier market enabled them to provide the solution.

“We were able to creatively pair the occupier, developer and the site, and to finalise the off-market transaction,” he said.

“GNS Ceramics had missed out on a number of opportunities locally, and when this opportunity was presented to them, they acted quickly to secure the facility.”

“The sale represented $3,232sqm based on the GFA, and was finalised prior to the developer settling the site previously occupied by Parella Tiles.”
