Frasers Property Industrial has secured leading global tyre manufacturer Goodyear as the first customer at its $300 million Vantage Yatala estate in South East Queensland.
NASDAQ-listed Goodyear has committed to a seven-year lease of a 25,250 square metre state-of-the-art distribution facility at Vantage Yatala for its Total Tyres business. The facility will comprise 25,000 square metres of new warehouse space, with 250 square metres of office space, which will support business growth of one of the largest wholesalers of tyres, wheels, and tubes in Australia. It will feature a 36 metre wide super awning that will facilitate loading operations.
The facility will incorporate cutting-edge modular building designs coupled with high-quality and sustainable materials to create a workplace focused on health and wellbeing, in an approach not typical of traditional warehouses. Vantage Yatala was developed under Frasers Property Industrial’s Premium Estates concept: an industry-first design that offers best-in-class amenities, sustainability, and technology to improve workdays, support wellbeing and enhance local communities.
The facility is designed to target a 5-Star Green Star Design and As-Built v1.3 certified rating from the Green Building Council of Australia. The facility will feature solar panels to generate clean electricity and will include rainwater capture and reuse systems connected to landscape irrigation and bathroom amenities.
Occupants will have access to Vantage Yatala’s extensive amenity, including a 2.3-hectare open space reserve, 5.5km of running tracks, two outdoor gyms, as well as outdoor barbecue and shelter areas.
Troy Whalan, General Manager – Queensland, for Frasers Property Industrial comments, “Goodyear has been a longstanding customer of Frasers Property Industrial for more than 18 years and we are pleased to continue this relationship by delivering a new distribution facility at our Premium Estate, Vantage Yatala. The deal marks a major milestone as the first pre-commitment for the estate and we are continuing to receive significant interest from a number of light manufacturing, warehousing and logistics companies.”
Chris Cash, National Director – Advisory & Transactions, for CBRE comments, “We are delighted to have represented Goodyear in their South East Queensland property search and are pleased to have facilitated the first pre-commitment at Vantage Yatala. Being a Premium Estate that is located in a major growth area and well connected to the transport network, Vantage Yatala is naturally drawing significant occupier interest in a tight leasing market.”
Located between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the 650,000 square metre Vantage Yatala estate is primely positioned 500m from the Pacific Motorway (M1) and is in close proximity to the coastal area. It will offer 24/7 operational hours and B-Double truck access.
Fraser McDonald, CBRE’s National Delivery Director, will provide project management services for the delivery of the facility.
