Mapletree is set to deliver much needed logistics space in the Southeast Queensland market, with two high specification logistics buildings totalling 37,800 square metres (sqm) due for completion in their Mapletree Logistics Park in October this year.
Leading global real estate development, investment, capital and property management company, committed to sustainability, Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd (“Mapletree” or “the Group”) is set to deliver much needed logistics space in the Southeast Queensland market, with two high specification logistics buildings totalling 37,800 square metres (sqm) due for completion in their Mapletree Logistics Park in October this year.
Designed with logistics user-efficiency in mind, the buildings offer market topping specifications that facilitate increased storage volumes, high flow traffic capacity, quality office and amenity areas with Green Star 5 Stars rating, and sustainability features.
The buildings are part of the second stage of Mapletree Logistics Park in Crestmead. The first stage has over 60,000sqm of high-quality logistics space which quickly attracted quality tenants with Bunnings, Visy, Phoenix Transport, Frucor and Bevchain taking up residence upon completion.
Mapletree’s Head of Logistics for Australia, Matthew Meredith said, “The success of stage one of Mapletree Logistics Park in Crestmead gave us confidence that speculatively developing quality logistics facilities in this location would continue to attract the customers we are targeting for our portfolio.”
The second stage of Mapletree Logistics Park in Crestmead is being marketed by CG Property’s Michael Callow and Michael Richardson with Colliers’ Nicholas Evans and David Brisk.
Mr. Callow said, “With vacancy rates around Brisbane at sub 1%, the additional 37,800sqm will deliver much needed supply to the Logan Motorway Corridor. The specifications are market leading and tenants can choose from a range of sizes. From a connectivity perspective, this is Brisbane’s premier logistics region”. He added “almost 100,000sqm of industrial space was under HOA on the Logan Motorway Corridor at present which has transpired in the past two months so the 37,800sqm Mapletree Logistics Park is providing will be well received in one of the tightest markets in the country.”
Mr. Evans added, “We have seen many users relocate to the Logan Motorway to get better access to staff and excellent access to motorway corridors. The Mapletree Logistics Park offers a perfect blend of cutting-edge warehouse efficiency and connectivity to transport routes and to staff.”
“We are fielding good enquiry on the space at the moment. Mapletree has plans to add two further stages to the Park to ensure it can service its growing customer base in Brisbane.”, added Mr. Meredith.
